The Moth and the Candle

Light flows in smooth, straight lines
It illuminates the mind for a single moment
Reflecting the false immortality of the young
Darkness is but the absence of light
Evil is the flip side of the coin
Where light and darkness are of the same side
This opposing light is omnipresent
But is readily ignored by those steeped in arrogance

The creation of such light is mortal
The mind is the fount of both goodness and evil
Heaven and Hell are merely names for said, created by men
Man is the ultimate instigator and the ultimate nemesis
In religion man finds comfort, in life……evil
The realisation is not apparent
